Why is my SURFboard Central app not working? ›

This can happen for a reasons, but there are a couple common causes for this error: The app may be outdated and needs to be updated to the newest version. If the app is on the newest version, you may have customized the GUI credentials for your connected gateway.

SURFboard Central gives you insight into issues on your home network with real-time data of your network performance and the devices connected to it. Monitor things like device signal strength, changes in your expected Internet speed or suggested improvements for your mesh system performance.

For now, please continue to use the ARRIS SURFboard® Manager App to manage and configure your devices.

If you forgot your customized login credentials you must perform a factory reset by pressing the reset button for more than 10 seconds on the SURFboard product. This will reset all customized settings. Tap the Login button. The SURFboard home screen will appear.

Carefully insert the tip of a pen or the end of an unwound paperclip into the Reset button located on the bottom of the device. Press and hold down the Reset button for 10 seconds and then release it. After the mAX Router has finished booting up, tap the box for SURFboard Mesh Wi-Fi Triband.

Download the SURFboard Central app from the app store on an Apple or Android mobile device. Tap the SURFboard icon then tap the Get Started button. The Allow notification pop-up will appear. It is required to enable Location Services in the SURFboard Central app to perform first-time setup installation.

The error code 0015-1805 means that your mobile phone cannot connect to your SBG10 Wi-Fi network. If you already changed the default Wi-Fi name and password, try entering the Wi-Fi name and password for Wi-Fi connection instead of scan the label during app setup.

Your home network can take advantage of an ARRIS cable modem that's either wired or wireless, depending on your needs. If you opt for the simplicity of a traditional (or "wired") cable modem you may want to pair that with a mesh Wi-Fi system for whole-home Wi-Fi coverage.

When you reset an ARRIS modem, it returns to its default factory settings. This means that all customized configurations, such as Wi-Fi network names and passwords, port forwarding settings, and other personalized settings, will be erased.

When launched, the ARRIS SURFboard Manager App will prompt for the admin username and password of the supported SURFboard Wi-Fi product. The default username is “admin” and the password is “password” on the SURFboard Wi-Fi product.

To access your surfboard cable modem open your web browser and use the IP address of 192.168. 100.1. The default page that will open is the Status page. The information on this page gives a snapshot of a series of events that the modem goes through when establishing a connection to your cable ISP.
