and Sammy Wilkinson Cupcakes and punch were served to the six boys by Mrs Cormier before the party ended ANNA DAVIS Eight members of the Anna Davis Circle of the i Methodist WSCS attended I the July 20 meetings at the home of Mrs Guth i rey Mrs1 Retta Poole pre I sident of the So ciety of Christian Service was present as a guest In business session the Circle signed cards to be sent to shut ins and a sym pathy card to the Billy Stin sons upon the death of his father Other business included the receiving of Christmas an July stockings which Mrs Poole distributed to the members She explained that the two other WSCS circles would also pass out individ ual stockings in which the members will put their our regular members at tended the session and wel comed Mrs Montgom ery Sr as a new member The main portion of the meeting hour was spent on a program "Mature Personal Religion presented by Mrs Jeffers Christ mas in July stockings were then passed out to the group and will be filled with the contributions to be turned in at the August meeting Mrs Davis will be hostess for the August 17 meeting and Mrs A Dommert will be in charge of the program Members present were Mrs Richard Mrs Gerald Cormier Mrs Jeffers Mrs Mont gomery Sr and Mrs Moreau Sr 'Me as a Christian as a Methodist and as an Indiv idual Layman The general purpose of the round robin type revival will be to encourage more laymen to witness for God All persons are invited to come and take part in the singing and all phases of fellowship during these 12 Rev Rhodes is recording secretary of the New Light Missionary solved is now in circulation at the library and can be checked out for the regular two week period A review of the book may explain why it has proved to be such a popular piece of fiction "The Revolt of Sarah Perkins" By Marian co*ckrell It was the year 1869 in Colorado Territory and the whole town had turned out to catch a glimpse of the new school teacher Miss Sarah Perkins had come to replace a long line of teach ers who had likewise arrived blooming with health good looks and enthusiasm but not for teaching Each had come to Belle City with an unquenchable desire for marriage Each in turn have also been acquired for the church music department Morning Star Baptist Church was organized in 1906 and celebrates its sixtieth anniversary this year with an adult membership of 43 and 18
